Dustin Lamb



Head Football Coach Dustin Lamb, was a 1995 graduate of Pasco High School, where he was selected as a Big 9 All-Conference QB/DB/ All-Purpose player.  Lamb was a 4 year varsity letterman in baseball, 3 year varsity letterman in football, and 1 year varsity letterman in basketball.

Lamb went to Eastern Oregon University to play football after graduating from P.H.S., after a brief stint there he transferred to Eastern Washington University where he was able to complete his Bachelor of Arts in Education and Social Sciences in 1999.  Lamb was named to the Dean’s List in the fall of 1998 and 1999.

After completing his education Lamb became the youngest Head Football Coach in the state at age 23, taking over the program at Ilwaco High School (1A), in Ilwaco, Wa (2000). At Ilwaco, Lamb was able to turn a 1-8 program into a state playoff participant in 2001, with the help of assistants Matt McKinstry and Rob Linderman.  Lamb guided the Fisherman to the district playoffs the following year as the program moved from 1A to the 2A ranks.  Lamb was named Head Baseball Coach at Ilwaco in 2001 and guided the Fisherman baseball program to their first ever winning season and a berth in the 2001 state baseball playoffs in Moses Lake, Wa.

Lamb’s career then took him to Grandview, Wa, where he was named Head Football Coach in 2004.  At Grandview Lamb and fellow assistants Travis Elliott, Matt McKinstry, Brad Charvet, Rick Mottice, and Bruce Davison guided the Greyhounds to the 2004 district playoffs.  The following year Lamb and his staff led Grandview to their 1st ever state playoff win in school history, defeating the Colville Indians 32-22 at Rich Leenhouts Stadium.  In 2005 Lamb was named Head Coach of the year for District 5 and was named Offensive Coordinator for the East All-Stars for the 2006 2A/1A/B All- State game in Yakima, WA.  Lamb helped to lead the East to a 42-20 victory, along with Grandview stars Brandon Artz (QB) and James Vela (WR).

Lamb accepted a job at his alma mater Pasco High School , as a Social Studies Teacher during the summer of 2007. Lamb was named the Head Football Coach at Pasco High School in the spring of 2008, as the district created a 2nd high school in West Pasco.  Lamb has also served as an assistant baseball coach under Tyler Hockaday and assistant girls’ basketball assistant under Aaron Barcot.

Lamb has lived in Pasco, Wa since 2003 with his wife Kara (PHS 97’/Gonzaga 01’) and his daughter Abigail (9), and son Tommy (6). In their spare time, the Lambs enjoy traveling, camping, and enjoying the outdoors.
